We designed a piece of furniture for bright, sensitive beings with imagination.
When one designs a piece of furniture to be used by children, the proportions need to be taken into account as well as the materials, the colours and the basic functional matters, such as the economy, weight or texture. But one must also take into mind the capacity the object may have to establish an emotional relationship (not just a functional one) with the child. A child's imagination is very big and adults must make sure that every object stimulates their imagination. The Ladrillos (Brick) bookshelf complies with all these requisites.
