We recovered the spirit of Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Marcel Breuer who, after almost a century, are still current
The interior design of Metropol Le Café, with the collaboration of the Fernando Salas Studio, is a homage to Bauhaus and to all the designers who, in the 1920s, looked at the future with optimism, had faith in progress and created suitable, useful, beautiful objects. The pieces designed by Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Marcel Breuer are still current after almost a century and continue to be found in contemporary interiors.
Le Café Metropol is impregnated with this spirit and expresses itself in black and white, using stainless steel as a material in which the faith in the new technologies which moved those designers is reflected. The glass front of Le Metropol makes it an open viewpoint over the urban landscape, over the esplanade used by visitors to the museum, with the floral Puppy in the foreground.
A cafe which is covered but open to the landscape and which aspires to be an extension of this square crossed by tourists looking for cultural, citizen leisure time.
